Avon Lemon Sugar Nails

Carrying on with my lemon Spring time feel I have bought a gorgeous shade of nail varnish from Avon this week! Currently reduced from £6 to £3, Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Lemon Sugar is a real must have.

I must admit as with some other Avon nail varnishes I have tried the finish did go slightly bubbly which wasn't great but if you use a good quality base and top coat you should be able to minimise this.

Happy @ Miss Selfridge

I am loving this jumper from Miss Selfridge - the pale yellow is perfect for Spring and the 'Happy' message is so uplifting too.  At £30 it may be a little bit pricey for those on a budget (me included) so I am sitting pretty right now waiting for a discount code..I'll let you know!

Coconut & Banana Bread

This banana bread is really good and it's nice to make a change by adding coconut and cherries too!

You can follow the recipe below or click here to go to the original recipe.

 2 x Eggs
200g Caster Sugar
110g Melted Butter
225g Mashed Bananas
1/2tsp Almond Extract
200g Plain Flour
8tbsp Desicated Coconut
1 1/2tsp Baking Powder
1/2tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda
1/2tsp Salt
125g Chopped Glace Cherries

1) Mix together the flour, coconut, baking powder, bicarb, salt & cherries.

2) In a seperate bowl break eggs and whisk.  Add sugar and melted butter and beat well.  Stir in mashed banana and almond extract.

3) Add the flour mixture and stir just to combine.  Tip mixture into loaf tin and bake at 180C for around an hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

A little rest...

Hi fellow bloggers and friends! I've been having a little blogging rest over the last couple of weeks to be honest I just ran out of things to say (very rare)! Lol!

Anyway after my little holiday I now have a few things to share with you over the next few posts including a little Aussie review, a great recipe for Banana & Coconut Bread, some super cheap shoes from Tesco (of all places), and some lovely spring time inspiration...stay tuned!

Ted Baker - My Top Picks!

Ok I normally like to pick up a bargain and I also like to share them with you, but today I will have to steer away from the bargains and share some awesome clothing from Ted Baker!

I know it's a bit pricey but these beautiful pastel pieces are to die for and good quality too in my opinion.

So if you're looking for something a little special try one of my favourites below:

Polly Pocket Wall Party

Do you have any of the Polly Pocket Wall Party range? We do! My girls really love to play with this range and spend hours enjoying themselves with the Polly Pocket world.  We have slowly collected different pieces of the range for my eldest daughter and now buying a new section for my youngest's birthday too.

You may be a bit worried about attaching toys to your lovely walls which is understandable as we also had the same worry.  But so far so good - there has been no problem with marking the wall and provided in the box are these special adhesive strips designed specifically for painted walls.  It is also nice to have a toy which is not taking up floor space!  By sticking it on the wall it is out of the way but the girls can still see it so it is never forgotten.  With hundreds of little pieces i.e. shoes, drinks etc there are also dedicated storage ares where you can put all these little fiddly, easily lost things away to stay safe and sound.

Above is a picture of my Daughter's Wall Party but below are also some of the choices in the range ranging from around £8.00 to £25.00.  In my opinion a good value worth while toy which is played with regularly!

Double Side Twists

I love these Double Side Twists - they are incredibly easy and look good too perfect for any day of the week!

1) Make a middle or side parting.

2) Take a section  of hair from the front of the face and begin by twisting.

3) Add a small section of hair into the twist as you move towards the back of the head.

4) Secure the twist using a small hair tie and repeat on the other side.

5)  Once you have finished the twists secure together and add a flower or other clip!

PS: You can follow me on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin & Instagram too! Phew!
